"This was a well located property in mainland Venice. A quick 10-15 minute train or bus ride to classic Venice. The walk to the bus or train station is about 5-7 minutes. Tourists stay on the mainland because it’s got bigger rooms at a much lower price and are more modern for this price range (not talking about the luxury hotels in classic Venice). "Needed a place to stay overnight before heading out to the Dolomites. Hotel Altieri was a good choice. The room was a little outdated, but clean. "Used this hotel as a base to visit Venice. The location of the hotel is excellent - 20 minutes on the bus from the airport to Mestre and a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Venice central is 10 minutes on the train. Hotel room was clean but basic. No frills but all we needed for 3 nights. Continental breakfast was very good. Kettle in the room would have been appreciated, the room needed a bit of TLC but for the price, I would recommend and will happily visit again if visiting Venice. "

"Helpful staff who were happy to provide maps of the city and other help. Room was very modern with powerful AC and walk-in shower. Beds were comfortable if a bit hard for us.
