"Very lovely, quiet and relaxing property and very comfortable and clean. Rooms are spacious, equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and cups and cutlery. There is a wonderful bar onsite (no food) that has live music, and the acoustics are excellent, as well as a huge stone fireplace. The only issue we had was that there is an entrance fee to see bands ($35 per person when we were there) and as there's no TV in the rooms, you are a bit stuck in the evenings for something to do for...

"Excellent location in Haliburton. Staff was excellent. Rooms require some updating especially the bathroom. Wood for the room was very pricey and not having the dining room for food closed was difficult especially on a weekend of a snowstorm. Otherwise beautiful location and the ice rink, outdoor fire and option to snowshoe was great. "

There are two negative aspects: 1. proximity to the road so that it was noisy at times; 2. cleanliness was generally good though we collected a lot of sand when we swept the floors and the toilet seat had not been throughly cleaned."

Thermostat was set to off but one of the electric heaters was blasting heat. It was a very uncomfortably hot night with only one window open. Air conditioner was not installed.
