"The hotel was in an excellent location. Bar service and breakfast both good. Hotel car parking is expensive £12 per night. If you happen to have a blue badge then there is free parking right across from main entrance. Only negative have never been in such a small bathroom. Literally hit of wall when trying to turn round. "

Closer restaurants were all fast fude (Mickey D’s, Subway, the Colonel). Parking was across a busy street in a shopping center parking lot. "

Restaurant fine but wine could be better! The VERY BEST UNI QUE feature of this quaint club-hotel is the guest launderette in the basement if u are coming off a ship or traveling around...

"We were in Portsmouth to visit the Museum of the Royal Navy. We arrived early and the hotel stored our bags before check-in and also allowed us to store our bags at checkout, no cost. Breakfast was excellent. All staff were helpful and pleasant."

"A 2 night stay for visiting relatives - given a choice of a ground floor room or on 2nd floor which was appreciated. The bathroom was clean but a little tired. Asked about there only being one hand towel but 2 very large bath towels and told it was Greene King policy. Also told that we could ask for an extra hand towel. "

"It was a great stay for the funeral we went to, definitely stay again , not so much in room 12 as the toilet was straight so any other room will be better ,the toilet was on a lopsided floor an made us feel pissed sitting on it lol, so any other room would be better. "

"I thought that the property was economical for what little amount of time I was spending there. Even though the room was clean, the shower curtain had a lot of mold on it and needed to be replaced. The bathroom really needed an update/renovation. An elevator/lift is needed at this location. "

The breakfast had a nice selection and was tasty. The staff was really nice even gaving me a converter and kindly said I could keep it. Would definitely come back "
