"This is not easy to find - tucked away in the hamlet above Canfin. (Drive past Candin for 1km and there’s a sign on the left). The hotel has beautiful outdoor seating under a thatch and lovely walks around. "Great location for an overnight stay on the highway. I left my e-reader in the room and couldn’t turn around to he get it and the fantastic staff researched how to get it back to Canada for me at the lowest possible cost! Wonderful customer service. Handy being able to eat in the restaurant downstairs!"

"The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms look more like a poor pilgrim municipal auberge. Please do not reserve this hotel. The first night they didn't have hot water. I reserved for three nights but I decided not to come back on the second one even loosing the money. Because I didn't was able to get other hotel I returned for the third night. Hot water was returned. Staff only work from 6 pm to 11 pm. If you arrive early must wait outside. There is no restaurant near by, we have to go to...

"The hotel is way outside of Astorga, and it looks like the hotel that the apocalypse left behind. There were almost no guests. The whole staff leaves at 4pm. They do not serve real food despite having a restaurant. Much of the grounds are in a state of disrepair. If you want dinner, you have to walk along the highway to another hostel down the road. The staff was very nice, and the rooms themselves are comfortable if old school. However, I could never quite get over the unsettling feeling of...
