"Lovely place, twin room was spacious and en-suite shower room very nice. My only issue was as the room was lovely and warm, I needed to open the window which allowed the noise from the busy road outside to disturb me, this is my issue as being too warm bothers me, no fault at all of the establishment, the doubling glazing prevented all noise, just a warning to others if room on the front. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay otherwise and would happily recommend to others "

"My son and I were on a cycling trip from Liverpool to Durham. Of all the hotels we stayed in on the way, this was head and shoulders above the rest. "Excellent 10 out of 10. Our 3 day Xmas period stay with our dog was from arrival absolutely superb. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful; the room was warm, comfortably and clean. "The radiator in the room didn't work. I went to see the staff, and the boiler wasn't switched on, which is very strange for January !!. The boiler was on but the radiator didn't work on either day of my visit. 2 heaters were provided, but the person in charge wasn't aware of the issue with the boiler/radiator, which was poor in my view."
