"3 night booking. I arrived at about 9pm on the first night after a long and tiring journey, but my room was not ready. I had to wait about 30 minutes whilst staff went to get towels and soap, as well as a floor-standing fan - there was a fan already in the room but it was broken with the guard cover on the floor. "The property and staff were friendly and helpful. The gentleman at reception was wonderful. It was awkward as soon as I checked in as the owner requested I cancel the booking and pay directly to the property due to Hotels.com/Expedia failure to pay for multiple guests over the previous month's. The option was unavailable as Hotel.com policy for cancellation was fully nonrefundable. This means I'd have to pay twice if I cancelled. "We have been in Madagascar 3 weeks and Tropical Paradise Hotel is still our favorite hotel. It is a short tuk tuk ride from town and tuk tuks wait at the road. The staff is amazing, the restaurant is good and the rooms are comfortable except the bed. The only negative we have is that the mattress was thin and after 5 nights it got pretty uncomfortable. I wish I had asked the staff to change it though, because I bet they would have."
