"The LBV hotel is an absolutely beautiful property. However, it is a VERY steep climb up to it from Pinhao. Unless you have a car (which is challenging to drive in this area) or want to pay for a taxi to get to a restaurant it is not convenient. I averaged 10 miles a day travelling in Europe and this climb was A LOT. I think this is the norm for the area. Hotel was a GREAT bargain but challenging to get to."

I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in.
