"This hotel is beautifully located close to the beach, with lots of nice restaurants and cafe's nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room had a nice balcony with a view of the street and the sea. It would have been really nice to have a refrigerator in the room. As well, we would have liked to have two pillows each. As well, the room safe was broken. These are all relatively small things, and overall we were comfortable. "The check in was very easy and receptionist friendly. Room was basic but clean and a/c good. The hotel is on the main road, but room was quiet and slept well. There was parking available in front of the hotel on the service road"

"Nice hotel just over the boarder into Spain. google maps struggled to get us to the hotel due to many industrial type roads, some that were blocked by bollards & a fairly busy area. That said hotel was great friendly check in, plenty of free onsite parking. Didn’t have a kettle in the room, but reception gave us some hot water. We used the hotel for an overnight stop on rout, would stay again, had many shops around the area. "

"Not fancy but clean. Perfect for one night (no kettle, no microwave, no fridge). Good beds. Overall somewhat run-down but everything works (including the AC). The one glitch was that a gentleman at the front desk was supposed to call me a taxi at 12:20 for 12:30 to get to the train station, but he forgot. "The hotel is in a perfect location and it is worth paying a little extra for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Unfortunately the paintwork was in very poor state and the room needed a makeover as it looked tired. My king size bed was actually two singles pushed together so there was an uncomfortable ridge down the centre. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The biggest inconvenience is that they have no staff in the premises and any problem has to be handled though a WhatsApp account that is slow to reply. "Normal low-cost rooms in which there is everything necessary for recreation. Not far from the sea, shopping centers and parachutists drop zones."

"The worst hotel that has no management at all. Our room was taken by someone else when we arrived, we were told it was someone’s mistake at midnight, so we were sent to another hotel which had no promised parking lot available, also there wasn’t any water cup in the room, ridiculous and we need to get our money refunded."

Gentle waves on the shore...

"We decided to upgrade our room for one with a sea view. It was well worth it. The sounds of the lapping waves was so relaxing and there's so much to see from the balcony. Hotel is in a perfect position and the parking was easy. A huge selection of food for the breakfast. Even though there were a lot of other guests, the dining room never felt crowded. Roses is one of our favourite resorts and we will definitely be back. "

"Cadaqués is beautiful, not easy to get to without a car, and has limited hotel options. The Octavia is perfectly located, clean, simple, nice rooms, and a good value (keeping in mind that high season for tourism inflates everything in Spain). Access to a parking lot shared by two hotels is a plus, but the policy of no reservations for parking makes that a gamble. "

"Yolanda was super friendly and helpful, we spoke French which was easier for her to understand, but her English was much better than our Spanish, LOL. So, our Franglais was a good compromise. She gave us a map of Figueres and offered us tips on where it is safer to walk, and where it was safer to take a taxi (average 12€ - 15€) to all locations around town. It cost around 14€ to go from the train station to Ibis Styles Ronda. Overall, the check-in experience was very helpful and professionally handled. "

"Excellent stop off hotel for the Spanish / French border crossing, access from the motorway takes seconds, shops around the area are duty free, so stocking up on cigarettes or booze is easy, hotel itself is spotless, excellent staff, good breakfast, would have no hesitation in returning, actually started & ended our Euro trip with a night here. "
