"On the positive side: The staff was great and the hotel is nice and the breakfast amazing. On the negative side: the wall were paper thin and we could hear the lady next door sing in her shower the first evening and a baby crying from the second floor the second evening. The pool which happen to be very nice is quite noisy due to being located just next to the highway. The bedroom look like unfinished, and could use side lamps on the bedside table (for reading), pictures on the walls. And...

"The owners were amazingly courteous, friendly, and professional. The property was beautiful and clean, and all staff were always willing to help in any way they could. The pool was always refreshing and relaxing, and there was a fully-stocked pool bar for drinks. Meals were served buffet style, and the dining area oversaw the pool. The rooms had either pool view, mountain view, or partial sea view. I would definitely stay here again! <3"

"Lovely family hotel in a great location, a few minutes walk from the beach and around 10 minutes from the Old Town. The rooms are small but if you're not spending too much time there it isn't a problem. The bathrooms are also on the small side however there are larger showers in the basement which can also be used (alhtough you wouldn't want to be tall!). All in all an excellent hotel with a 5 star service. If I returned to Rethymnon, I would definitely stay there. "

"Just come back from 10 days at Horizon Beach Hotel. The property was clean and appropriately fitted out for a three star hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of the resort. There are ample car parking space on-site. Overall I thought the Horizon Beach Hotel offered good value for money. "
