"Absolutely horrible - probably comparable to the worst truck stop you can imagine. Terrible service, staff were lethargic and unhelpful. Guests were loud, coming and going all night - locking and unlocking doors, smoking in their rooms - which filters into your room. My shower was mouldy and there was no water at all in the morning to even take shower. As a woman travelling for business, I did not feel safe staying there."

"If ever you find yourself in Vryheid I would highly recommend Oxford Lodge. The manager was constantly on hand to make sure our stay was comfortable and was most accommodating. A pool would’ve been great due to the 30 degree temperature but the shower and air on were equally as good."

"3rd visit to this amazing place with 5* service. You are looked after from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. Including have a member of Staff host you at dinner. I cannot recommend this place enough. "

"Stay was okay but: 1. Access to TV channels is quite limited 2. Dogs in property are friendly but some customers may not be comfortable with them 3. No fridge in the room"

"A must see! I highly recommend that you come and stay here. The views from our room across the valley were jaw-droppingly beautiful. Our chalet was very spacious and decorated to a high standard. Kitchen had everything you need for self catering. The property was clean and tidy throughout. The team was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very much at home. The tour of the battle sites was informative and really transported us back in time for a slice of Anglo-Zulu history. "
