"We had a very relaxing family holiday here. There were hardly any other guests when we stayed, and it was almost like having a private resort.The restaurant staff made us two lovely dinners and breakfasts, the first dinner was an intricate kaiseki spread, and the second was delicious grilled steak. Breakfast had plenty of options for both Japanese and Western style meals. "This ryokan is in a beautiful location. Mr. Toshi went above and beyond to provide us excellent hospitality, a meal, and even showed us around Shiobara region and drove us to our bus stop. He was so helpful and caring to my family. The food, onsen, and rooms are wonderful."

"The surrounding area is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rate included breakfast which was nice. However, this is an all-smoking room hotel - contrary to what it’s listed as. There was no noticeable odor in the room, but might not be the same for all. And they’re having trouble with the hot spring source so there’s no onsen water to the room balcony baths (my main reason for booking), and their regular hot spring will be sometimes closed. That was the most disappointing part. "
