"We came to Fairfield Inn in Aberdeen, MD to visit our son. We booked a King room. When we went to bed, we realized we got a Queen, which wasn't bad, but we didn't want to get charged for a King. The woman at the front desk said it was a "hotel king, which is smaller than a regular king". I never heard of this so when we left I googled it. Although it was mid-December, I turned the AC on and set it to 60 degrees and was still too hot. Perhaps I could have gotten a blanket instead if I'd asked, but I hadn't thought to do so ahead of time and didn't want to bother the front desk after midnight.
