Problems with PIN code based access that they change during your stay, and don’t inform about the new code so you can not get in during unmanned hours of the reception (which is all the time almost). Could not call number provided because of non-mobile roaming blocking the only option to get help. "We stayed in two rooms as the first one was at the end of the corridor and you got disturbed by people using the stairs which were right on the other side of the wall. It was obvious the rooms were in older buildings which meant you could hear the other guests in corridor. There was no kettle or tea/coffee things in the room something I would expect 4 star accomodation to have. Reception did lend us a kettle once we mentioned this. The restaurant serves excellent food at a 4 star accomodation...

"Munkebo is a lovely place. However we are both in our mid seventies and have slight mobility issues and were offered a room on the first floor and there was no elevator so we had to carry our heavy suitcases upstairs ourselves. The receptionist was not very responsive when I asked if only upstairs was available but continued to just walk upstairs. The room was very adequate and we really enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant. Next day we needed to check out early to be able to return our rental...

"Stunning setting for this castle on a moat. We were delighted with our large comfortable room in the castle up on the 2nd floor with a fabulous view across the grounds, gardens and moat. Dinner at the Michelin restaurant was beautifully presented and served, and breakfast was especially excellent and thoughtful.Staff were kind and helpful and always gracious. The gardens were delightful, even in the pouring rain. Wish we could have stayed longer."

"Check in was easy. Some sloped ceilings were pointed out. Bathroom in jr. suite was the best we encountered of 3 stays in Denmark. Suite was roomy and comfortable. Enjoyed dinner at restaurant one night and drinks another. Food was excellent and portions were large. Only one vegetarian option or we would have dined there second night. Breakfast was a treat. View was lovely. Host made the stay. "
