"Excellent set-up for budget-conscious traveler. Location is in the heart of the city, convenient to shopping and transportation. Easy to explore city from there. Only suggestion is to make arrival instructions a little clearer, since there is no registration desk. Instructions say, "the lockboxes that have your room Key is to your right on the fire exit door." The lock boxes are actually on an inside wall, behind the fire door. "Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay. "

"The room is very nice but heated up overnight and the controls did not seem to work. The bus service was limited so I had to leave on the first bus to ensure I caught my train. I had been staying in Inverness at a nice B and B earlier for the same cost, very nicely presented, near town and I got breakfast so this had far less going for it."
