"From start to finish staying at the old manse was a delight . Val welcomed us with a warm and friendly manner.the room was lovely clean and warm with a very good bed Good selection of things for a hot brew And the breakfast was fantastic a real quality full English cooked to perfection and piping hot we also had local kippers delish we cant wait to stay again ps very dog friendly 😋 "

"Liked size of bedrooms and bathrooms . Easy walk in shower for mild mobility problems . Good property to share with adult son in second room . Heating very responsive . Host kept in contact to check if any refills etc needed . Only downside for us are stairs access but there were good handrails . "

"The provided facilities, in terms of the fridge shack etc could do with updating and the site is a lot smaller than anticipated so we were greatful of only one other pod being occupied. Had there have been others there, there wouldn’t have been much privacy at all. Coat hooks being on the same wall as the plugs/shelf etc meant coats hanging over the kettle , but the pod itself was lovely and clean, amazingly comfortable bed. "We came here as we wanted to spend the weekend in york but didnt want to stay in the centre so choose to stay further out. So glad we did it was really peacefull not to far away from the centre of york. The motel was lovely as soon as you walked in you could smell the cleanliness. It was so clean and fresh. Beautifully decorated. The pictures do not do it justice. I would 100% recommend whether your a family or a couple. Plus the chinese restaurant/pub at the end of the drive is amazing and...
