"Staff were very friendly and check-in/out was smooth. Beds were a bit small for two people (doubles) but clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The shower is an over-bath type but is powerful and you get a great shower. Although the rooms are large, they are very dated and showing their age. If they were to be given a makeover they would be excellent rooms. The bar are is welcoming and the food looked really good."

"My wife and I go to Southend often and found the Hamiltons Boutique Hotel which we haven't stayed in before. We had a message in the morning to confirm what time we'll be arriving which I thought was a nice touch. We had a lovely welcome and being out of season, we was given the Hamilton Suite with a sea view. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and bright with lots of light. The next morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast each. 100% will be out "go to" hotel when we go to Southend now. Great...

"Had a lovely few nights here in Oct 24. Very comfy room, easy check in and lovely location. A few comments: Breakfast - there is a lovely breakfast basket in the room with plates, bowls and cutlery. It has porridge, muesli & muffins as well as fruit, milk and yogurt in the fridge. There’s a dining table downstairs if you want somewhere to sit and eat.
