"The hotel is visibly old and could do with a refurbishment. The room was spacious but primitive. The restaurant is recently overtaken by two younger chefs and is excellent. The hotel and restaurant are seperate businesses. The hotel staff was kind but forgetful. My partner is intolerant to Gluten but despite having called in advance and been reassured that glutenfree bread was available, it was still forgotten twice at breakfast and long waiting as consequence. Further, we had to arrive rather late, due to an emergency, and he also ensured that we got locked into our room. The rooms are clean and bright, and even had a small desk for me to work from. The breakfast was adequate, and was served in a sunny, quiet room. "

Walking path through the forest on the property and lots of wildlife. Highly recommended. It is a shared bathroom so if that isn’t to your taste then it’s good to know, but we had no issues. "
