"This was such a unique place to stay! The owners were really sweet. The meals tho simple, were very delicious. I’m not gonna lie, I thought it was closer to ubud when I booked, it was quite a distance. I don’t regret it, it was quiet and really awesome. We rode bikes into the village and to the waterfall. "Summary We'd recommend the Bamboo house for one night specifically to the do the hike only. Go for the cheapest room. We booked two nights at the bamboo house, via Hotels.com, with the idea of hiking Mount Batur. Presumably like many other people visiting the area. We booked the king size deluxe room, the one with the triangular bamboo ceiling/roof, which was twice the price of a standard room. When we arrived we were shown to a standard room. After realising we hadn't been provided the room...
