"Our four night stay at Casa do Santo was FANTASTIC! The estate is beautiful, elegant and stylish, and Maria and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and to make you feel spoiled. The included breakfast was excellent, and so was the dinner that the estate offers upon request. Our room was spacious and lovely. The property has beautiful views of vineyards, and the tiny town in the gorgeous Douro Valley that it’s located in, Provesende, is charming. We hope to return, because...

"My husband and I only stayed one night here — we wish we could have stayed longer! Our comfortable room had a large terrace overlooking the Douro River, there is a nice swimming pool on the property and the views are beautiful! The included breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the dinner we had there was quite good. This is a family-owned place and the owner’s son Paolo, who is the manager, was very welcoming and kind. We would return! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. Angela was so helpful in getting us checked in...

"Absolutely beautiful place. We stayed in a modern room - number 1 - with a beautiful outdoor patio and separate balcony overlooking the town. A tub & a shower! Lovely lobby area with multiple seating options, fireplaces and outdoor gardens. Highly recommend! Breakfast was plentiful and Delicious! "
