Although, they never sent us a text or email on this move. When we finally found the new hotel, they gave us a room that faced a busy road. "Verdelago is a great 5-star resort in the Algarve, away from tourists and tourist traps. It is a vast resort with many things to do. However, potential guests should be aware it is not fully-open. The resort is under construction even though you would not really notice it. They have done a fabulous and mindful job in protected guests from this. The only negatives were the kitchen was too dark, the fireplace smoke odor was overpowering and strong, and the front door and car were always full of pidgeon poop. Trimming the trees should solve the pidgeon poop issue. We didn’t know the WiFi router had to be rented and there were none available for the first week. All the shortcomings were made up by the great staff."
