"Wonderful staff! They made us feel so at home and helped us book all the activities we wanted to do while visiting monteverde. The rooms do get a bit hot because there are no ac units - just one rotating fan per room. The bathroom also had a rough smell because there were no vents inside of it. But if you are looking for an affordable, safe and welcoming stay, this is definitely a wonderful pick!!"

"The host was very personable and took care to provide information of things to do around the surrounding area. However, the road to get to the hotel from Arenal was treacherous as it was mostly uphill, lots of curves and unpaved making it difficult to navigate."

"The breakfast was really nice. They had pancakes, orange juice, eggs, toast and different kinds of fruit! They made it there so it was fresh. The reception clerk was really nice and help me book transportation to the monteverde cloud forest! She also called to see if they have any guided tours and what time! I really appreciate it. I was on the second floor it was nice in the evening to look at the sunset from the balcony! Room was basic but clean. I enjoyed my stay there. Area seem safe."

"A nice location by the beach. The rooms are behind a restaurant, keeping it quieter. The accommodations are older with rooms that show some wear, but that’s a minor cosmetic concern. it’s a fine place to stay!"

"We enjoyed our stay and the local wildlife. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to a bar and restaurant. The room has an exterior entrance for privacy, was large and had a mini fridge, which is appreciated. Coffee is only available in the main communal area, which is a bit inconvenient but at least it’s available. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious!"

"We loved our treehouse vacation. The family is so friendly and welcoming and answers emails very quickly. The house is so beautiful and fully outfitted and you truly feel like you are in the trees. Be mindful that this is near town which is great if you don't have a car, but you do hear cars, children and the occasional donkey braying. It was close enough to walk to a grocery.
