"I like all the activities in the park. I didn't like that room was not cleaning. Not enough paper toylet, no claning service in the room, i am on vacation need to clean. It was very dark outside at night. When i arrived at the first day i didnt find the room and it was raining and no one was there to help. "

"Just a 30 second walk to Piazza Bra and no more than a couple of minutes to the Arena, this small hotel has great rooms equipped with everything you would expect; the staff are very friendly and helpful and is so convenient for exploring Verona and beyond. Our friends all stayed elsewhere in the city (we booked at different times) - we are all coming back to Verona and we all hope to stay at the Torcolo!"

"Katia and her brother were great hosts! They were extremely helpful with excellent tips and always happy to help and answer any questions. Location is great, 1 min walk from the bus station (4 stops from train station) and just across from Castelvecchio. 8 min walk to city center, super close to the arena. Not typical hotel, small bathroom, simple breakfast (included) and there’s some cigarette smell in the hallway. However, these are really small inconveniences. I will definitely go back for...

"Hotel Scalzi is a beautiful hotel. Our room (and the whole hotel) was very clean and comfortable. All the staff we met were very friendly. Breakfast was good and on a nice day you can sit outside in the courtyard. The only issue was the wall adjoining the next room was quite thin and we were woken up when they came in (we could hear their conversation and TV)."

"We had some problems of a foul smell in our bedroom but the staff was very attentive and did everything they could to help. When the issue couldn't be resolved, they switched the rooms. Everything we requested was taken care of, we were very pleased with the service."

The bed was EXTREMELY firm--hardly better than sleeping on the floor. The curtains had cigarette burns in then, the decor was quite dated, and there was lipstick left on the glass in the cabinet. "Visted Verona for the night but didn't want to pay crazy downtown prices. We were amazed with Hotel Gelimini. A great 2 star hotel that should be rated as a high 3 star. 10 minutes from Verona; free parking in court yard; friendly family run hotel; the room was very clean and roomy; breakfast was fantastic! Momma's pies were beyond delicious!!!"
