"Staff were helpful and great to talk to, and parking was convenient. Actual hotel is a bit of a walk from town centre, so bear that in mind (there is a bus stop within a 5min walk). On the other hand the area was nice and quiet (although I did stay outside of the academic year). Also this hotel has communal kitchens on each floor where you can cook and store leftovers, but there is no restaurant, although the Halifax Hall nearby does if you need a meal."

"This is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not."

"The hotel is lovely but coukd do with a few tweaks here and there. My window wouldnt close, towel rail was hanging on for dear life and nowhere to put shower gel/soap in the shower. Could do with a mini shelf in the shower. My room was next to a little utilities room containing a microwave, washings machine, dryer etc. This wad not great due to a couple deciding to do their washing at midnight.
