"Craig the host was a very awesome & friendly guy. Very helpful & knowledgeable about the local area & where to walk, visit & eat out at different restaurants. Helped he was a fellow Gooner as well lol. Will definitely be going back to take on the Grizzly Race."

"Staff were lovely and the room had a couple of extra touches I wasn’t expecting like bottles of water. The only thing that I would say tainted the stay was that I couldn’t turn the heating off in the room and with the room being small and at the top of the building, it was so, so hot. Other than that, great."

"The pub had a rather tired feel. Didn't do evening meals on Sundays as they have a Quiz Night. Breakfast was excellent and really enjoyable."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Charnwood Guest House. The spotless room had a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and hot shower. Breakfast was served fresh to order each morning. Location was a short walk along the river from the beach and restaurants. Finally a shout out to Ruth and Phil who were the most charming hosts you could hope to meet."
