"We got stranded in Kansas City due to the winter storm. Luckily we were able to book a room here. They had an airport shuttle that was running even as everything else was shutting down. Check in was smooth, especially as a lot of people were calling and checking in. The employees were friendly and attentive. "The facility itself was amazing beautiful check-in was a breeze. We had a free welcome drink when we checked in along with a free drink at the bar on the seventh floor. The only complaint I have is we went for a full breakfast the morning before we left and the service was beyond bad. There was no one to sit us. I had to walk around to find somebody to be sat. I finally found a bartender back behind the bar that was bent over stocking and she said there should be a host which we never didn't see...

"I always stay here when passing through KC, nice and clean hotel! Only problem was that the room was super hot and stuffy because the fan only blew out really hot ai, so it was a sweaty and uncomfortable nights sleep "

"The staff at the Doubletree are always friendly and helpful. The property is beginning to show signs of age. The bathtub was clean but still looked dirty due to age. It was also quite cold in the hallway and room. It took a very long time to warm up the room. I think the windows are not very insulated. Closing the curtains fully did help. The ceiling had some water damage spots. Overall it was a nice stay but not the same Doubletree I remember staying in. "

"I had a slight problem checking in. I am 18, but was staying with my 22 year old sister. I didn't have her added to the reservation and I couldn't check in because I was underage, although it said nothing about that on the Expedia website. Instead of being able to add her at the front desk, I had to sit in an AI chat for half an hour. Other than that, I had an excellent stay! Very clean and nice staff."
