"We needed to stay somewhere for one night as our previous reservation was messed up by us. This hotel was available and was fine for one night. There were only two small towels and we would have had to pay one euro each for anymore. They also required us to pay in cash. It was a little out of the way but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable."

"It's fine. Cheap place to stay. The noise is the biggest issue. There were dogs barking in reception one morning and no attempt from anyone to quiet them down. On the last night there was someone in a room practicing opera from 10pm til gone midnight. Think they need to remind guests and staff this is a hotel and people are trying to sleep. But as I say it's clean, cheap and staff were friendly."

"This was the best customer service I've ever had at a hotel; the female night manager helped arrange our parking, carried most of our suitcases, and even helped us buy bus tickets - at the bus stop! While there were a few details, like too much road noise and the tv not working (could care less), the staff's friendliness and helpfulness made it a very enjoyable stay. Would stay again in heartbeat."

"Great location. Room was very clean. Would have been good to have had a kettle and 2nd mirror other than in the bathroom. Host could have been a little more welcoming. "

"Great spot by the train station. Room small but nice and clean for the 3 of us. Aircon was great in the heat when we stayed. Staff extra helpful. Cooking facilities were great and not too crowded at meal time. Breakfast in the nearby shared hotel was excellent.. kept us going for the day. Would stay here again. We were 1 adult and a 12 and a 14 year old (girls). Highly recommend."

"The Woodhouse hotel was our base for attending the Bruce Springsteen concert in Monza, which is just a bus and train ride away. The hotel is no frills, but has all the comfort you need, from good beds to clean rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a shopping mall with a large supermarket less than 5 minutes walk and a bus (712) that takes you directly to the metro station at Sesto San Giovanni and from there you can get to central Milan very easily. "Esperienza consigliata, lo staff è stato molto cordiale e disponibile… A Mendrisio per lavoro ci vado spesso, l’albergo è molto comodo alla stazione, cosa che ho sfruttato per recarmi in centro. Ma anche per una semplice camminata al lago. Credo da come sto scrivendo si capisca la bella esperienza che ho passato ed infatti ho lasciato 5 stelle su 5."

"The property is set in a nice surroundings but the rooms are very basic with hard beds no aircon and a very small window with a fan that blows the hot air around the breakfast is ok but had to wait ages for it"

"I recently stayed in an economy room with private bathroom, but after reading the reviews I didn’t have my hopes up. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Hotel Bristol. Firstly, it is very accessible via the local metro system and had no bother finding it. The room had a lot more than I expected: balcony, fan, TV, wardrobe, bidet etc. It was quite comfortable and reasonably clean too. If I ever come back to Milan, I’ll definitely try and stay here again - especially with the low price I paid."
