"Be prepared when you check in, you scan a barcode go to a website then upload your passport photos and pay the local tax. Then you get the passcode to get in. Not horrible but should be full explained before you book. -Maybe it was but I didn't see it. Not sure why you can't do it all before arriving at the door. PLace is OK but not deluxe. Owner was very nice and friendly"

"Our stay at Viva rooms was good. The location between the train station and the tourist areas was great. The host was excellent at responding to messages and met us at the hotel. She was really nice and even recommended a book store for us to find a special book. The room was in ok condition, but the shower needed some work (some mold growing on the floor tiles around the drain). The bed was large, but a bit too hard for my taste. "Very basic hotel, a bit noisy at night time, but I was still able to get a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly. Just keep in mind that you check in at a hostel a few doors down, but the staff will walk you to your building. The hotel's location cannot be beat!"

"Location was perfect, just outside the downtown with tons of food options nearby. The staff was great at giving recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. If you’re on the taller side you may have to mind your head in a few spots of the room, but to be expected when in an attic. Staff gave great instructions on streets where we could find parking and there is an app you can use top up payments. Would stay again when visiting Ljubljana. "
