"All of the staff that I interacted with had the best customer service I have ever come across in Nelson - and thatā€™s saying something because I lived there for 24 years. The *only* thing that may stop me staying there again in the future is actually a major positive for the park - the entire grounds are smoke free! As a smoker myself, this was a tiny bit of a pain but, it was so nice to see that this was a policy considering the amount of children that probably stay there šŸ˜. Well done all....

"I don't know how Expedia could list such a property on its website. The property is indicated as a backpacker establishment but it is more a boarding house for the down and out. The premises were filthy and unsanitary, the carpet was solid with dirt and sticky, the sheets had blood stains on them, there was rubbish and boxes lying everywhere in the common areas. I felt unsafe. When I told the proprietor that I wanted to leave she insisted on taking a cancellation fee. There was nothing else...

"The twin room was next to the kitchen where people came in and had very loud concersations until 2.30am and the first people in the morning arrived at 6.30am. The only windows where to the kitchen and the hallway and there was no fresh air. Over all too hot and too noisy to get enough sleep."
