"Iro hotel felt a little abandoned as there were no reception staff, restaurant or pool bar at the hotel. All the services were next door at Sergio hotel. Restaurant in Sergio was very good and staff extremely helpful and friendly. A little more information for the guests in Hotel Iro would have been good. First night we did not know where to go for dinner. When we found it it was great, as was the greek entertainment and dancing after dinner. A very nice surprise. "

"It is a small family run hotel. The rooms are nice and tidy. Location is perfect just a few minutes from the promenade. Staff was very kind and helpful. The only bad thing I noticed was the shower head was a bit detached from the wall in the shower, but that didnt affect the use. "Hotel Esperides is a lovely quiet hotel on the main road just across from the road into Myrtos, a quiet tourist town on the southern coast of Crete. Wonderful breakfast for 9 euros per person, with large assortment of foods. Small elevator available. Very accommodating when we arrived early from the ferry to Heraklion, Crete; we were able to purchase breakfast even before check in, and they got 2 rooms ready for us an hour or so before their usual check in time. "This was by far the worst hotel on the strip the owner of the hotel made every moment there a terrible experience. She screams morning till night and tells you that you can’t do multiple things, and every bed sheet and towel has some brown or black stain, also the water coming from the taps were yellow in one of the rooms. "Was here to visit Crete and the apartment is furnished nicely . The kitchen is a hot plate and electric tea kettle. The apartment has a balcony and great views of the Mediterranean A kilometer from bus stop up hill. Open windows allow for great breeze as well as view of water. There are dogs next to place that keep you up all night."
