"Iro hotel felt a little abandoned as there were no reception staff, restaurant or pool bar at the hotel. All the services were next door at Sergio hotel. Restaurant in Sergio was very good and staff extremely helpful and friendly. A little more information for the guests in Hotel Iro would have been good. First night we did not know where to go for dinner. When we found it it was great, as was the greek entertainment and dancing after dinner. A very nice surprise. "

"Beautiful views of the sunset from the restaurant. Pool is overlooking Malia town. There is an Old Malia town within 10 minutes walk with lots of dining options. Staff is very friendly and attentive. "

"It is a small family run hotel. The rooms are nice and tidy. Location is perfect just a few minutes from the promenade. Staff was very kind and helpful. The only bad thing I noticed was the shower head was a bit detached from the wall in the shower, but that didnt affect the use. Breakfast was continental, last day we had pancakes which was also nice. Overall very good price/value."

"Hotel Esperides is a lovely quiet hotel on the main road just across from the road into Myrtos, a quiet tourist town on the southern coast of Crete. Wonderful breakfast for 9 euros per person, with large assortment of foods. Small elevator available. Very accommodating when we arrived early from the ferry to Heraklion, Crete; we were able to purchase breakfast even before check in, and they got 2 rooms ready for us an hour or so before their usual check in time. "Was here to visit Crete and the apartment is furnished nicely . The kitchen is a hot plate and electric tea kettle. The apartment has a balcony and great views of the Mediterranean A kilometer from bus stop up hill. Open windows allow for great breeze as well as view of water. There are dogs next to place that keep you up all night."
