"Was a little apprehensive of this property when booking. A "hostel" at a relatively low price point was a bit concerning. At 45 years old we were certainly the elder statesmen, but it was cool. Natural, jungly, clean, a little hippy/crunchy, and right next to a grocery and bottle shop. The bar out front was great. Turns out we were at a hostel named Magnums during prise week. Nightly drag shows and "toad races". Super wierd, but super fun. We went out on a catamaran for a couple days, and...

"The accomodation wasn’t the cleanest or best maintained in terms of amenities, however the staff were brilliant and helpful in ensuring a wonderful holiday. It’s on the Main Street of Airlie Beach which made transport, dining and activities super accessible. "

"We had a pleasant night staying at the Grand Central Hotel but there was 2 small issues. 1. No fault of the pub but take ear muffs for a good night sleep. For a small town Proserpines main street is very busy at night. 2. Some advice for the Pub Manager please ad add curtians or block out the small glass panel above the doors of the rooms to block out the hall lights when they come on. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and food was lovely. Please g"

"The lounge didn’t fold out for extra bedding. The air conditioner didn’t work in the lounge room. The shower was dirty and mouldy. There was no glasses to drink from, not even coffee cups even though there was a kettle. There was cleaning tub with cleaning products in a bucket on top of the microwave. Overall cleanliness and presentation was not at a good standard and pricey for what we got in return. Very disappointing. "
