"The hotel stay was very disappointing. We were on our way to our wedding and despite the fact that we told them so, they never congratulated (we were even wearing wedding t-shirts) and gave us a room facing a massive pipe. Terrible. We wished we chosen a different place that would have made more effort to make our wedding trip more special."

"Check in was weird as the reception was closed. There was an envelope with our room key. Room was OK but very small and the shower could not be closed due to weird construction. The shower floor was very slippery. Breakfast buffet was excellent. There is no restaurant and the nearest place to eat is some kilometers across a rather steep descent."

I had seen that the Restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday (from their own website, but not Hotels.com) one of the reasons for choosing this hotel, but did not expect the Hotel to be closed. "Breathtaking location. Clean rooms. The prices at the hotel restaurant are a little confusing as their is a fixed-price menu and supplements for “à la carte” dishes which do not seem to correspond to the prices listed on the paper menu. The food was enjoyable."

"Unfortunately although we had planned to stay overnight in Turckheim, our usual hotel had to close for emergency work, so this booking was a last minute decision. Although the location was right, we felt that the accommodation was very basic. The bathroom was clean but rather threadbare, with no extractor fan although it was in the corner of the bedroom. Parking was extremely difficult, and we had some distance to access the hotel carrying our luggage. We could not leave anything in the car...
