"I really liked this hotel. First off, the service was great. The room was very clean and modern, even with usb outlets for charging your devices.... AND THEY ACTUALLY WORK. The wifi was decent with a 17 mbps download and 18 mbps upload. Tested with ookla and it said it should support 2160p (4K) streaming. I really liked the regular style drip coffee machine. The area around the hotel felt very safe and quiet even though the highway (CA 20) is right there. Overall I definitely like this hotel...

"The rooms have been recently renovated. It looks like they went on the Temu app and purchased everything for the hotel. It’s all so super cheap it’s already falling apart. Some things are still super old and broken. -Fire doesn’t work -Screen door is off -The ac has a bright light u can’t turn off -the door chain, chains to nothing However, I freaking love this place. The staff is wonderful! The view is amazing! Nice, charming change form the cookie cutter hotels! We will be visiting...

"The rooms at the Rainbow Lodge are undergoing a significant upgrade. As we arrived, they were just re-hanging the door to our bathroom. Charles, the manager, does a great job of managing the work, and we were very comfortable with the accommodations. Our room was freshly painted, with new linen on the bed and blackout curtains on the windows. It also looked like we had a new microwave and minifridge. "The hotel room was like an old apartment flat. All furnitures were very old! Heater makes a lot of noise and makes almost impossible to sleep. Extra bed in the closet was so smelly that we couldn’t use it, even though we needed one. Only positive side was the view was so great that sees the lake beautifully and the staff was so helpful over the phone helping instructions opening the room door."
