"This was a convenient functional stop for a Bilbao ferry the next morning. (Approx 2hrs) The guesthouse adjacent to the bar/cafe was warm and clean, well kept no-frills accommodation and served the purpose. There’s an ample parking area next to the bar & guesthouse when you turn off the main road, although it is not private. "It is a very small family run hotel, only 5 rooms. Easy for Santillana del Mar. Off road parking. Great view from bedroom. Very nice owner. But the big advantage is a comfortabe bed and absolute quiet. I slept through to the alarm at 8, considering i am typing this at 4.00 am in my next hotel shows just how unusual it is to sleep that long!"

"Hemos tenido una estancia de 5 días estupenda. Veníamos del sur y llegamos más bien tarde, ellos nos esperaron para hacernos el check-in, sin problemas y con una encantadora bienvenida. "The posada is a beautiful old building, perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Communication was a little difficult with the owners due to my limited Spanish and their limited English - but we managed! We had a lovely room and a very comfortable bed. It was 4km to drive to the nearest town for dinner. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice of local and homemade food.
