"The hotel was good. It's old Mexico so you can't have 5 star expectations. The staff was friendly enough. Our room faced the street so it wasn't super quiet but it was neat hearing the sounds of Mexico every morning. The doors were fairly thin as well so you could hear everything anyone was saying outside your room at all times. I would have no problems recommending this hotel. "

"It’s very close to the town square and not far from the beach. Lots of restaurants in the area to chose from. The ocean is great to swim in. Very little undertow. The room is small and you need to be able to take stairs. Overall it’s a pretty place to stay for a couple of nights. "

"Wonderful stay. Hotel is very nice, colorful and convenient to everything in Lo de Marcos. Our room was large and had a small kitchenette. The front desk person, Alberto, was great and super helpful. We enjoyed Julio up at the rooftop lounge as well. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Our rooms were not ready when we arrived. Room 1 the shower was slow draining & we had no handle on our hot water nozzle. We were told to use our fingers to turn it on & off. One of the pillow cases looked like it had puss stains on it, so gross. Room 2 had had cigarette holes through the sheets & covering. Both bathrooms toilets looked like they had urine in them, but it was the color of the water. DO NOT recommend this location. "

"This is an amazing place for a great price. The beach is a 2 minute walk around the corner, shops and restaurants are right out the door. "Great hotel with awesome rooms. Comfy beds, wifi. Great views. Short walk down to the beach, amazing hosts. It was my first time to chacala I loved everything about it. The restaurants in the area are a bit limited in their menus unless you love seafood. Next time we will bring our own food to cook. It’s worth coming back too. "
