"As we checked in the receptionist asked us to pay ā‚¬31 to cover any damage cost. He then stated this is the hotel policy and we would be refunded upon check in out of the hotel. As we checked out the hotel, the owner only refunded us back ā‚¬20. When questioned the hotel owner he stated the ā‚¬11 was for the local tax. Although ā‚¬11 is not going to hurt my bank balance, itā€™s the basic principle, when booking the hotel via Expedia, the taxes are included. Also the rooms do not have tea and coffee...

"A lovely property with fabulous views. Very comfortable bed and good air-conditioning when needed. Our room was number 10 up in the eaves so some low sloping ceilings but an amazing view. Small but adequate kitchenette and bathroom. Great pool. Good local restaurant and handy shop. Definitely need a car, too far to walk to the beach or Fiscardo. Would stay here again. "

"I arrived and there was nobody to help at reception. The owner was at the beach. When she arrived back 15 mins later, I was told I had to pay an extra 20 euros because we were 1 adult and 2 childrenā€¦. Even though I had booked for the correct number of people. I paid her the 20 euros as I was too tired to argue. The room only had towels, pillows and sheets for two people instead of 3. My sheet was dirty. I was sent a feedback form that evening so I filled it in saying the check-in hadnā€™t...

"Fantastic location 50 metres from harbour. Lovely Tavernas nearby and walkable. Beautiful area close to Mikros Gialos beach. Spyros was such a lovely gentleman and so helpful with advice when required. Room quite basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable so very nice to stay there. I would recommend Captain Nick and would stay there again in a heartbeat."

"We stayed at the Scorpios Hotel on our way to Meganisi. We arrive late but were made very welcome and had a nice meal and drinks on the terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel is nicely situated just up the hill from the coastal road with great views of the islands off the coast of Lefkada. The hotel has a nice pool."

"Agios Nikitas is a very pretty little village and Hotel Odessy is situated right in the middle. But the hotel is very old and dated. We had single beds in our room which had concrete bases and could not be moved together. And the bathroom was very cramped, with a tiny shower cubicle and a shower curtain which was awful. You flooded the bathroom every time you had a shower. "
