"Outside of town slightly easily reached by local bus or a walk, but the location was superlative for walks with gorgeous views by the lake and mt Fuji. Good sized room with two beds so room to move. Next to a great Houtou noodle restaurant. "

"This was a cosy, comfy stay for 1 night. Although the owner couldn't speak English, and I can't speak proficient Japanese, the communication worked with the help of translation apps. Although it was snowing outside, the heating in the room warmed us up quickly. Note to say that the walls are quite thin, as you'd expect in a traditionally built Japanese building, so you can for sure hear other guests snoring. Didn't bother me at all though. Was a nice stay. "If it is in the very heart of things—the train station, multiple bus routes, all manner of dining options, with a view of Mt. Fuji to boot (though our view was partially obstructed by an electric pole and transformer). It is a bit hard to find, and gave our cabbie a run for his money (we were driving in from another train stop). Better signage is a must! "The staff are very accomodating and very welcoming. They picked us up from and sent us to the train station for free. They offered us ( 5 people) a ride with a ¥2000 fee to lake kawaguchi. They also offered to pick us up from the Fujikawaguchiko masjid back to the guesthouse for the same rate later that night but they did not turn up . Instead, they told us to get our own taxi as they have picked up another customer. Luckily we got a help from the masjid cafe staff who called a taxi for us. We...
