"I loved Pearl House Kandy! It was a short climb up the hill, but transport was managed well by the lovely Sri Lankan owners who listened to every comment and small complaint. It was close to town. "it is the 2nd time hotels.com is selling me a place that does not exist anymore. we went to the place after calling but failing to get an answer multiple times, they said they are not open for a year. it was a terrible experience to walk all the way with the luggage at night and trying to find another available hotel was awful."

"It wasn’t good. We arrived late to nobody being around. We had to ask for facilities to cook and for the Wi-Fi, which didn’t work very well. The room wasn’t clean, with us finding hairs in the sheets the bathroom constantly smelling. I reckon once, it was brilliant but now it’s rubbish. Not even in a good location. "

"It’s a hard Hotel to review because it’s so old and unique. I loved the history of the Queens Hotel. I believe it was build in Colonial times by the British tea plantation owners. It’s right in the centre of town next to a beautiful lake. The pool is huge and very clean. The buffets were excellent with a variety of local, Indian and European food. The hotel is also reasonably priced."

"The hotel is lovely but dated. It’s in the middle of a residential area, and although google maps says it’s a 20 mins walk to the town centre, it doesn’t account for the monster hills! There was no cleaning in the room whilst we were there, water was charged at an exceptional rate, which we weren’t told about. The staff were very friendly though, and couldn’t help us enough, as we were one of two couples in the hotel during this our of season period. "
