"This was my first time in Gunma and i cant believe how luckily i got with this stay. Nice, relaxing stay plus they had bikes so i could explore the area and really enjoy the country side. I liked too that the bathroom had a window i could open and view the nice scenary while taking a hot shower. The owner is a really kind guy that is there to ensure you are having a good time and is always open for a nice conversation. I will definitely be staying here each time im in Gunma and i recommend it...

"If you want a local traditional experience, this stay does not disappoint. The house has everything you need and is located on a very quiet street away from the main roads. Only a 2 minute stroll to the river for som nature. As a bonus, the host will greet you at the train station and provide a ride or ferry your luggage back to the house while you venture off to the shrines. "The surrounding area is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rate included breakfast which was nice. However, this is an all-smoking room hotel - contrary to what it’s listed as. There was no noticeable odor in the room, but might not be the same for all. And they’re having trouble with the hot spring source so there’s no onsen water to the room balcony baths (my main reason for booking), and their regular hot spring will be sometimes closed. That was the most disappointing part. "

The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time.
