"We stayed here for a day coming back from Poonhill and it was one of best experience we had in Sarangkot. View from deluxe room was spectacular with mountain view from one side and city view from other. And we watched sunrise from our bed itsellf and wow what a great time it was with red sun and mountains on the side. Also it is few minutes from Sarangkot view tower where we went for some for experience of city view. Breakfast was very nice and we also had dinner and had one of best Chicken...

"Incredible hospitality displayed by this lovely Nepalese family who run this hotel. It is very basic accommodation but clean and relatively comfortable. Good food served here. Just a short 10 minute walk up to the Sarangkot View Tower for breathtaking views of the Himalayas, which is why I stayed here."

The highlight of my Annapurna Base Camp trek, nine days of exertion and awe, was this morning. Waking up at 4am to ascend the final hours between Machhapuchchhre and Annapurna base camps. So early in the season and after being separated from my hiking companions the day before I was alone. But not lonely. It was a quiet morning of reflection, catching my breath in the headlamp, before the sun broke from behind the mountains. And as the horizon transitioned from muted pinks and purples to brilliant blue, the energy of new day, the snow-capped peaks ahead felt like electricity. I danced up the mountain, my elation expressed in hurried step and shallow yawns. The Himalayas surrounded and I was filled with an immensity of oneness.
