"Very good location right in front of Ruifang train station. Perfect to use as a base to explore Jiufen, Pingxi and the surrounding area. A lot of hiking opportunities at your fingertips. "A surprisingly beautiful heritage house renovated into 3 rooms, with windows retained. The way it was built, the decor, and the house was designed by the hospitable host's husband. There was a pond with frogs and crabs in front and at the back of the house. Breakfast included a rice burger. Cozy. The host even showed us the room next door with the original kitchen and oven! This was better than a nice hotel because of how the host took care of us."

"Excellent Value with a Watery-Ending! For the price, this hostel was well worth the money. I was able to rest in the lounge and leave my items prior to check-in. The room itself was comfortable and the beds were typical for many hostels in Taiwan. Bathrooms were clean with hot water. Location was "ok" but if you don't mind walking at least 5 minutes to go somewhere, it's alright. It's perfect if you ride the inter-city bus as it was closer to the bus station than the train station. Staff was A ...
