"Hotel was absolutely cozy. Super close to the lift. Wish I had known the location better to ski there! Staff was amazing, and helped track down an item I left. Beautiful building and location. Super close to the fun FU bar. You can also easily walk to the mountain for some trails. Only downside is the doors lock at a specific time. That was fine as I was jet lag. Def recommend this location! Breakfast had a lot of options if you chose it. "

In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. "The location of Hotel des lacs is perfect for someone who wants to be in Chamonix for UTMB because downtown is only a short walk giving easy access to race activities and restaurants. The Hotel is located across the street from a beautiful park with a little lake. Our room was clean quiet and simple. Breakfast was available for a small additional charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt at home."

"Needs daily cleaning especially emptying the bins in the room. No lift so it was difficult to carry luggages to the third floor. Very limited time opening with reception. You need to be in Bossonet before 7:45 pm to catch the last village bus back to the hotel if you are in the village. They serve good food options at a very reasonable price."
