"Casa de Tortuga was just charming-- from the open-air office to the sweet pool area to the magical lighting effects throughout the property at night. It fit our budget and provided a surprising amount of amenities in the room. "Great value overall but for such a tiny bunk room, I'm surprised with how many mosquitos were in there. Upon entering, we immediately noticed around 2 which after a bit of effort I was able to kill in a few minutes. But, the surprising thing is they kept coming back. It's almost like there's a hole somewhere that they were coming in from and there were perpetually 2 - 3 mosquitos in there. By the end of the first night I killed 6. "This place is very unusual and romantic. Completely open air with mosquito net, minimalistic, set in a natural area that is lovely. The room was high up and got a lovely breeze. Want to stay there again!"

"This was perfect for a one night stay on the island. Having a store right across the street was a bonus. We enjoyed the coffee and community room on the first floor as there wasn’t any sitting space in the room. The only thing we noticed was a lot of birds outside the window so if you are a light sleeper that might be an issue but they did provide earplugs so I’m wondering if that’s why. We were tired from a late night at the Bioluminescent Bay so we had no problem falling asleep."
