"I came by train and taxi (not by car) and I wished I had known that the diner and the bar would be closed on Sunday and Monday, which were the days I was there. There are no dining options in walking distance, which is expected in these areas where everyone drives. "The young lady working at the front desk was very prompt and cordial upon my check-in. It was simply nice room, thoughtfully done yet comfortable and a great location! "

"This is our go to hotel when travelling through Albany. The hotel is beautiful with very comfortable rooms. The staff is exceptionally friendly and willing to assist with any needs. The on site restaurant is a huge benefit for travelers. The food and service are top notch in both the restaurant and bar area. Book the room with the breakfast included option it is well worth the extra cost. "

"It is one of the oldest inns in America - so it creaks a lot, uneven floors, and for sure that look of old.. not necessarily bad... just a heritage property that has its quirks. We liked it.. the bed could be better for sure... I think that's the main fault.. the restaurant and pub were wonderful, good food and service. The common, fireplace room ambiance was nice. "
