The sheets on the bed were dirty and wet , they didn’t have enough blankets, they did a bait and switch where they wouldn’t let me check in unless I paid a higher amount in cash And the person told me that they have other guests that they will give the room if I don’t pay higher amount ($50 vs $42 that was on the booking). "We really enjoyed our stay at the Monti-Villa. We’ve never gotten so much bang for our buck until we stayed here. If being too big of a place was an issue, it was kind of a nice to have that issue all to ourselves. Our hosts, Lucy, Rene, and Jose were all very nice and courteous. "The location is not in downtown, so you’ll need to take Bus or car to get to Juayúa. It is a beautiful spot with many trees and a nice building. No AC. Our room had a strange odor, maybe an insecticide applied to the sofa? No screen on window, otherwise would’ve been a pleasant breeze as the evening air is wonderfully refreshing."
