"Judith is amazing! She was so friendly, helpful, and always responsive, from right before we arrived until we left. The location is great, the room was very nice, comfortable, and clean. Judith stocked it with water and delicious snacks, which we so appreciated. I highly recommend Il Veliero to anyone going to Levanto/Cinque Terre!!"

It is close to both train station and ferry port, both of which are only within five minutes walking distance on a flat road, which is a big plus in this region, because some hotels or train stations may be on hills. "I selected a room in La Perla Blu to be close to train station, away from traffic and near free parking. We got there and they’d switched us to an apartment on the main square. It was spacious and clean but VERY LOUD ALL NIGHT, every night. Party and carnival noise until 3:30, Town clock every 15 minutes, leaf blowers and pressure washers starting 5:45 am. Three nights, no sleep. And only two half rolls of toilet paper for three nights. "

"Staff is friendly and accommodating, even if they are not always present at the desk nor speak English. Air conditioning is an extra charge, but can open the windows to get some circulation. There's a nice deck with two chairs and a small table. No in-room safe. Shower is in the middle of the bathroom and only curtain, not a tub or stall, so entire bathroom can get wet if you're not careful. One block from the beach. Two blocks downhill from the train station."

"I loved this little beach city to stay in while exploring the nearby towns. The hotel has a restaurant next door which is one of the best in town and even the locals eat there. Hotel is walking distance to the train station. You can hear the train go by which seemed a little bothersome initially though easy to get over. The interiors of the rooms are a little dated. Overall good experience."
