"The bed was extremely comfortable and was the best part of the room. The amenities were nice and the room was as depicted in the photos. The welcome was pleasant but cooled somewhat once they realised we’d booked through Hotels.com. We were told we wouldn’t get breakfast because of it. That’s fine but perhaps phrase it as “so that’s room only tonight” instead. Noise carries throughout. "Charming, small inn. Next to very pretty church. Tasty and filling breakfast included. Looks newly redecorated. My room faced onto the car park, and had quite low ceilings… but my colleague’s room seemed to have lovely tall ceilings, and old beams. Pillows were a bit lumpy, and the room was quite chilly overnight."
