"The Lavana hotel was in a great location. Near central market and in the heart of Chinatown. The hotel was a little dated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonable value for money. The area was one of the homeless hotspots at night. They were not a problem and kept themselves to themselves. Nice people going through hard times. I would consider staying again. "

"The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is rather big and clean and the toilet is clean, however, the shower head needs to be changed as the water pressure penetrates into the skin. There's construction opposite the hotel so it can be noisy at times. My AC didn't make the room cold enough but overall I'm happy with my stay. The location is very convenient."

"Just check out after a very good sleep. Bed very comfy and quiet. Very very clean very friendly staff and really good location. Room not big but it's okay since they have provided all nessesery like TV fridge desk nice bed clean modern bathroom hot shower good WiFi. Also water filter and coffee tea as much needed can take without pay penny. We are really had a good time with this hotel. Price also very cheap if compared. Thanks "

"The website photos are very "imaginative", I would use the tern hostel rather than hotel most rooms do not have private shower room/toilet, rooms are very small and have three single beds squashed into them, stairways are definitely not child friendly. With this one it really is a case of you barely get what you pay for, so much so me and my party could not stay there and had to book other accommodation.
