"The room I had was clean enough but there was some peeling paint around the window and a very slight musty smell. Location to get out and about was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. "

This is a budget hotel and exceeded my epectations. I would definitely use it again. A small gripe is that one morning one staff member was complaining very loudly in the reception area about another staff member..I suggested maybe he should complain in an office and not in a public area. "First appearances aren't the best. The drive into the property is very narrow and between high walls. The entrance to the drive is off a one-way street, so needs to be approached from the right end. The property doesn't look good from outside either. Once inside, though, everything is fine. Jackson couldn't be more attentive or helpful, the room was good and breakfast was great. The location is ideal - a few minutes up the hill to the Castle and Cathedral or a few minutes down to the waterfront."
