"Reception staff were excellent, the room was a little "tired" but it is a budget hotel. The attached pizza restaurant was also very good value especially as we did not fancy a long walk into town. The breakfast was very good values for money at 7.5€ with small cooked offered too. Would return."

"I stayed in both the regular and the budget Ibis in Le Puy en Velay. Both were great. For the savings, I would probably stay in the budget Ibis again because it had everything I needed and it was right across from the train station. Both are convenient for touring the town or beginning the Camino."

"It was a stopover on a long road trip. It was a very hot day and we were given a room where the air-con did not work. We got a fan but very noisy. Breakfast was fairly disorganized. Dinner was great, local fare well prepared and tasty."

The room was a good size with a pretty balcony and large bathroom and separate toilet. We ate in the restaurant which provided good food and excellent value. The staff were friendly and efficient."

"The Hôtel Alizé is a modern 1950s-style motel on the edge of Puy-Loudes airport. No worries about aircraft noise - there aren't any scheduled flights in August. The room smelt of loo at first, owing to a long hot spell with closed windows. There was a double bed and a single, same price for all so more suitable for a small family than a single traveller. A temperamental motion sensor controlling the light in the small shower room meant I had to stand up and wave my hands about to switch the...
