"Wonderful country house hotel in about 200 acres of stunning grounds. Lots of outdoorsy things to do. The sitting rooms are glorious with open fires and the staff are attentive and there are lots of little touches that make the hotel stand out. The food is excellent, eat in the Great Western Restaurant if you can. Breakfast excellent. "

"Stayed for 2 nights with my 10 year old daughter and nearly 80 year old mother and both felt catered for and had a lot of fun. The food was excellent, however waiting staff in the evening were a little slow. The activities and facilities are vast. We were fortunate to have Liam as our Activity lead and he was absolutely brilliant. "Everything was fine apart from the bathroom floor being dusty. The rest of the room was clean, clean sheets and towels and free WiFi, tea/coffee facilities and hairdryer and a free parking space which is a bonus as parking is limited in that area. The hotel is a little run down, as is the area, but the rooms on the floor that we stayed looked like they'd been renovated, maybe they're working on it gradually. "
